Work Tasks
As a systems technician, you'll work with Trafikverket's storage platforms in a large and complex IT environment with many users, systems, and integrations. This requires high standards for information security, access control, and stable operations. You ensure that the platforms function and meet business needs.
The work is both operational and development-focused, involving time in data centers and at the office with colleagues. You handle incidents and operational issues related to both software and hardware, while working on improvements, automation, and further development.
An important part of the environment is S3-based object storage, a scalable technology used in many modern cloud and data platforms.
You collaborate closely with teams in areas such as virtualization, backup, and servers. You also interact with other parts of the organization to understand their needs and develop technical solutions.
In this role, you will, among other things:
• develop, manage, and operate storage platforms and related services
• handle incidents and operational issues
• install, configure, and maintain storage hardware in data centers
• collaborate with other technical areas, such as virtualization, backup, and servers
• provide technical support and develop solution proposals
• identify improvement areas and evolve the storage environment
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you need strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find solutions to complex technical problems. You take responsibility for your work and drive projects forward independently. Since the role involves many contact points, it's also important that you build good working relationships and collaborate well with others.
We're looking for you who have
• several years of current experience with systems technical work and/or systems development in a large and complex IT environment with many users, systems, and integrations, and high requirements for information security, access control, and stable operations
• good knowledge of or experience with object storage and storage platforms
• work experience with scripting and automation
• strong skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written
• upper secondary education in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired through education and work experience that we consider equivalent
• B-category driving license
It's advantageous if you have experience with:
• Dell storage solutions
• File storage (NFS, SMB)
• Working with storage hardware in data center environments
• Automation solutions with Ansible
• Script development in PowerShell or Python
• Agile working methods

On-call availability may be part of the position.
The job is located in Borlänge, Gävle. Would you prefer to work partially remote? In this position, there is an opportunity to work from home up to 40 percent of your working time.
The position is classified for security clearance. Employment requires a passed security clearance as conducted under the Security Protection Act (2018:585). The position also involves civil preparedness classification.
