About the Position Maxitech is now seeking a systems technician specializing in application operations for a long-term consulting assignment with a major public organization in Örebro. The client has an extensive and complex IT environment and needs reinforcement in the daily operations and management of existing environments, while the organization develops and implements new platforms. About the Role In this role, you will work with operations of the organization's IT solutions and applications. You will be responsible for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of systems and technical solutions. The role also involves serving as technical support and expert in various projects and development initiatives. This position is ideal if you want to combine ongoing application operations with technical problem-solving and development. You are expected to work proactively, identify business needs, and contribute to sustainable and efficient technical solutions. The role also includes consultation, improvement of IT-related processes, and knowledge transfer within the organization. This is a consulting assignment, meaning you will be employed by Maxitech. The assignment with the client is long-term and is currently planned to run through September 2028. What We Offer • A long-term consulting assignment in an extensive and complex IT environment • Opportunity to develop within both systems technology and application operations • A role where you combine operational management, troubleshooting, and technical development initiatives • Opportunity to work closely with both the business and other technical experts Responsibilities As a systems technician, you will: • Work with daily operations and management of IT solutions and applications • Install and configure systems and applications • Troubleshoot systems, applications, and other technical solutions • Administer and work with Windows Server • Administer IIS • Work with Microsoft SQL Server • Install and set up applications in the client's environment • Serve as technical support and expert in relevant areas • Participate in projects, implementations, and other development initiatives • Identify areas for improvement and contribute to process and methodology development • Provide consultation and knowledge transfer to the business Your Profile To be considered for this position, we require that you: • Have at least 2 years of professional experience as a systems technician in IT operations • Have at least 2 years of experience with Windows Server • Have at least 2 years of experience administering IIS • Have at least 2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server • Have at least 2 years of experience installing and setting up applications • Have strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing All of the above experience requirements are mandatory for this position. It is a merit if you also have: • At least one year of experience in application operations or systems development • At least one year of experience with DSC – Desired State Configuration As a person, we see that you are structured and solution-oriented with the ability to independently drive defined work tasks forward. Remote work is not currently possible. • Start: Planned start in October, following completed security clearance • Scope: Full-time • Planned duration of assignment: Through September 30, 2028 • Security classification: Yes The assignment is security classified, and anyone who advances in the process will need to undergo security clearance and background checks before the assignment can begin.
