Do you want to work as a consultant with product development across multiple industries? Do you want to create new products and ensure that new technical solutions benefit end users?
AFRY is seeking systems engineers to take technical leadership in developing products and services within our Product Development business area. As a systems engineer, you will drive the definition of new products based on user needs and feasible technical solutions. You are the hub of the development team, connecting different development disciplines. The role also involves ensuring that the overall solution works and meets user needs throughout all phases of product development.
Typical tasks include:
Collaborate with business owners, project managers, and development teams to define projects and products
Define product and system requirements and break down system requirements into underlying requirement levels
Define system architecture and concepts
Build and test prototypes and functional models
Plan and conduct verification activities
Act as technical project lead and drive planning of development activities
Take overall responsibility for technical documentation
Qualifications
You have several years of experience with product development projects. Your interest in technology is genuine, giving you a strong understanding of how products are structured and function. Of course, you enjoy finding technical solutions to challenging problems! This position may be security classified, which requires Swedish citizenship and approved security clearance.
Requirements for the position:
M.Sc. in Engineering Physics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
At least 3 years of professional experience in product development, ideally from initiation to market launch
Professional experience with one or more of the following: integration, testing and verification in product development projects, formulation of product and system requirements
Strong communication skills with the ability to express yourself clearly in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
Resident of Sweden
