The IT Department is a central unit within Lerum Municipality with 9 dedicated employees working in various specialist functions. The entire team works closely with the entire administration to ensure that IT solutions support the municipality's operations in the best possible way. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The IT Department is seeking an engaged and technically skilled systems administrator who will be responsible for managing and developing several of the municipality's central systems. As a systems administrator in our IT Department, you will have a varied and developmental assignment. You will support systems administrators in the business units with IT expertise. You are responsible for the technical aspects of systems administration while the business units are responsible for the operations-focused systems administration according to the municipality's systems administration model. You will ensure that requirements are set and followed up with system suppliers. You will work closely with the municipality's external IT operations provider as client/requirements holder, but also as support in dialogues between business units, IT operations, and system suppliers. You will drive implementations of technical solutions, and also manage and develop them together with external partners. QUALIFICATIONS You have a higher education degree in IT or equivalent experience that we deem equivalent. You need to have specialized competence within IT with a strong understanding of how systems are structured and their components, how IT environments are built with networks, servers, and IT security. You need to be solution-oriented and have the ability to find ways forward in complex challenges. It is also important that you work structurally and can document your work in a clear manner. Therefore, it is of great importance that you have excellent ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in both Swedish and English. The work requires that you are good at communicating and can build good relationships with others, both internally and externally. You need to be solution-focused, goal-oriented, pedagogical, and unpretentious. You are comfortable standing in front of a larger group of people and speaking within your area of expertise.
