We are looking for a skilled musician with broad genre experience and experience with singing and choir singing for all ages. With us, you will be part of a work team of about 30 people where you work closely with other church musicians and colleagues. The position includes services, church ceremonies and devotions, leading choir singing for both children and youth, being a musical resource in children's and school work, as well as in confirmation and youth work. We work every other weekend. You will be based at The Good Shepherd Church on Drottninghög, an exciting area that is growing and developing. Gustav Adolf Parish has a rich and varied worship life and celebrates Sinneromässa every Thursday. We have well-established school work where we work on projects for Advent, Christmas, Easter and All Saints' weekend. The pastorate has its own music school, which means that instruction in piano or organ is included in the position. In all four of our churches in Gustav Adolf Parish, we have fine instruments, ranging from a PG Andersen organ from 1968 to Steinway grand pianos.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with church musician education or other equivalent education. You have experience working with children and youth. You are comfortable leading congregational singing and as a person you are open, stable, creative and see collaboration as a matter of course. We are looking for you to take your own initiative, see the possibilities of new encounters and contexts. We value pedagogical ability where you create good relationships with children, parents and schools. We require that you are a member of the Swedish Church and share the church's faith and values. At a possible interview, we would like you to lead us in a hymn of your choice. We are curious about what you can offer.
