About the Workplace We are now seeking an academic advisor for a nine-month fixed-term position at the Medical Faculty's administrative office. The position is located in the Department of Programs and Student Support, which is part of our educational unit. You will work closely with students and our medical and healthcare education programs, addressing a broad range of operational and student-centered matters. Our department has 19 dedicated employees who work together as academic advisors, education coordinators, and a student counselor, collectively contributing to a secure and inspiring workplace. Learn more on the university's website about working with us Jobba hos oss | Lunds universitet Work Tasks and Areas of Responsibility As an academic advisor, you will be part of a team of 8 academic advisors. You will also work in teams with education coordinators and the program leadership for the program you advise. In your work, you will have close contact with many wonderful colleagues who together help ensure that the Medical Faculty has a prominent position in its field and help secure future healthcare professionals. The academic advisor's primary task is to create good conditions for students to complete their studies. The role involves early identification and support for students with special needs, monitoring students' rights, and following up on their academic results. You will also present cases in study social committees and help ensure a lawful and secure study environment. The goal is successful completion of education for our students and to ensure that prospective students gain knowledge about the Faculty's programs. Qualifications Requirements for employment: Completed degree from the Academic and Career Guidance Program. Experience in academic advising for healthcare and medical education programs at university level. Experience with administrative tasks and strong ability to navigate the digital world for efficient work. Well-organized, good collaboration skills, and a positive solution-focused approach with the ability to see the bigger picture. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Meritorious for employment: Good knowledge of laws and regulations governing education and studies at universities. Other Information This is a full-time fixed-term position for 9 months with a start date in January 2027, primarily based in Lund. The Medical Faculty is an operational area within Lund University, responsible for education and research in medicine, healthcare, and health sciences. Education is conducted in close collaboration with the healthcare service and is firmly anchored in the Faculty's strong research tradition. The Faculty's research spans a broad field of experimental basic research, patient-centered clinical research, and health science research. The Medical Faculty, with over 1,800 employees and 3,000 students in Lund, Malmö, and Helsingborg, is a knowledge-intensive meeting place for students, teachers, and researchers from around the world.
