We are now seeking a student advisor for a temporary position in the Administrative Division for Humanities and Social Sciences. About Us The Administrative Division is responsible for administration and student guidance at the faculty's four institutes: Behavioral, Social and Legal Sciences; Humanities and Education; Social Sciences and Media Studies; and the Music Academy. The division has approximately 45 employees in various professional roles. The Assignment As a student advisor, you will work with both student guidance and administration and case handling. Examples of tasks include study and career guidance, processing of study leave requests, recruitment and introduction of new students, and holding information meetings and presenting the education in various contexts. The student advisor also serves as support to the institutes' teachers and unit managers in, among other things, program development and student admissions. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree at the bachelor's level minimum. You should have a strong ability to combine guidance with administrative work. You should have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing, and also good experience and interest in working with various administrative systems. You have the ability to work independently while also needing to be service-oriented and able to communicate and collaborate in a trustworthy manner with different groups – students, teachers, colleagues – often in time-pressured situations. You need to be able to handle several different tasks in parallel and work solution-focused with problems you encounter. We expect you to be flexible and open to change and can work in a structured, quality-conscious, and responsible manner. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities. Information The position is a temporary position at 100% through January 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension. Individual salary setting applies.
