Based at the Department of Conservation, we are now recruiting an Academic Advisor for a shorter full-time temporary position.
Duties
You will work primarily at the Department of Conservation. 25% of your work will be at the Department of Marine Sciences, where you will perform corresponding academic advisory duties based on the department's needs.
Your main responsibilities will be academic advising for students in the departments' educational programs. You will provide support and guidance to students through advisory meetings, study planning, follow-up, and career planning. The work also includes guidance, study planning, and information to prospective students.
Work with exchange students may also be included in your duties.
Qualifications
You will independently plan and organize your work while maintaining close collaboration with colleagues at the Department of Conservation and the Department of Marine Sciences. The position requires strong initiative, collaborative ability, and the ability to quickly understand the needs of the operations.
We are looking for someone who has:
an academic advising degree or education that the employer considers equivalent
very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Beyond these requirements, it is advantageous if you have:
experience in academic advising at a college/university
experience working with the student administrative systems Ladok and NyA
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Employment
The employment is a temporary position at 100% for two to three months, based at the Department of Conservation. 25% of the position is located at the Department of Marine Sciences.
Start as soon as possible by agreement.
