S:t Martin is Sundbyberg's municipal upper secondary school. The school has approximately 300 students.
We offer both university-preparatory programs and vocational programs as well as all IM-programs. Our teachers are certified, experienced, and skilled in their subjects. We maintain high quality instruction and work extensively with safety, community, and cohesion. Our goal is for our students to have the opportunity to develop the knowledge they need to move forward to work or higher education.
Your duties include providing study guidance in Urdu to students who need support to benefit from instruction in various subjects. You work closely with teaching staff to strengthen students' subject knowledge, conceptual understanding, and language development. By using the student's native language as a resource, you help create favorable conditions for learning, participation, and goal achievement.
You support students both individually and in small groups before, during, or after class. The work involves explaining subject-specific concepts, clarifying instructions, and helping students develop learning strategies. You also contribute with knowledge of students' linguistic and cultural backgrounds to strengthen the school's work on inclusion and equitable education.
The role includes collaboration with teachers, mentors, student services, and other school staff to create the best possible conditions for each student's development. Documentation and use of digital tools are a natural part of the work.
We are looking for someone with very strong knowledge of Urdu and Swedish. You can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish and your native language, and have knowledge of Swedish primary and upper secondary school.
Your duties include guiding and supporting students in their native language across various subjects. We therefore want you to have experience in tutoring students in their studies. We use digital tools in our work and we appreciate that you are curious and comfortable with IT. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and collaborative skills.
You are responsible and maintain a professional demeanor. We work closely together and always keep the student's best interests in focus. Together we create the best conditions for a student to succeed.
This position is a fixed-term part-time employment, with a start date as soon as possible and extending until June 10, 2027.
