Your Work Tasks As a study and career counselor with us, you will have a varied and developmental assignment where you guide and inform adult students both individually and in groups. Together with the student, you set up target images, establish and update study plans, and support the individual in making well-informed decisions regarding education and future career choices. The assignment also includes assessing and calculating various types of degrees as well as issuing final grades. You work closely with study counselors, administrators, student welfare, and SFI assessors to create the best possible solutions for our students. Through regular pedagogical meetings, you contribute to experience sharing, development, and quality in the organization. Changes in the external environment and political decisions affect the organization, and you therefore need to be flexible and able to adapt your work based on changed conditions and priorities. To meet our students' needs, work in the evenings and on weekends may occur. The work is performed on-site at Vuxenutbildningscentrum. Your Competence We are looking for someone who is a qualified study and career counselor and has strong ability to use digital tools in your work. You express yourself very well in speech and writing in Swedish and are confident when meeting people with different backgrounds, experiences, and needs. It is a merit if you have good knowledge of the education system and experience working in adult education. Experience working with students who have protected identity is also a merit. As a person, you are service-oriented, professional, and have a genuine interest in supporting people in their development. You have a strong ability to create trusting relationships and adapt your communication based on the individual's circumstances and needs. You work in a structured and independent manner while also seeing the value of close collaboration and knowledge sharing with colleagues. Furthermore, you are flexible, solution-oriented, and have the ability to remain calm even during periods of high pace. You thrive in an organization that develops and changes and keep yourself updated in your field through environmental monitoring and competence development.
