The duties of a prison guard consist of securing the facility, escorting vehicles or persons within the prison, presenting and escorting incarcerated individuals.
Members of the sentence execution department oversee compliance with discipline and order among incarcerated persons, ensure adherence to laws and the prison's internal regulations.
No experience? No problem! A high school diploma is all you need, and instructors at the Prison Service Academy's professional course will prepare you for service even without prior experience. You will learn laws, regulations, basic psychology, procedure training, self-defense, and firearms handling and weapons knowledge.
Requirements:
- Secondary education completed with a high school diploma
- Czech citizenship, age over 18
- Health, physical, and personal fitness
- Ability to work in teams, reliability
- Clean criminal record

Salary conditions:
- Service income from 34,800 Kč (minimum guaranteed salary including a special allowance for service under difficult conditions; further salary increases depend on service classification, work schedule distribution, and recognized prior experience)
- Stabilization allowance of 11,000 Kč/month added to salary upon successful completion of basic professional training
- Possibility of a recruitment bonus of 150,000 Kč
30 days of annual leave.
Weekly work hours: 37.5 h.
After 15 years of service, entitlement to an annual 14-day wellness stay.
Upon termination of service after 15 or more years, entitlement to a service pension, paid monthly until retirement.
Possibility of accommodation at Horní Slavkov Prison dormitory located directly in the city (subject to accommodation availability).
From May 1, 2029, possibility of an indefinite employment contract.
