Machine felt has been manufactured in Halmstad since the mid-1800s. Much has changed since then—companies have disappeared, others have spun off and changed names. Today's Nordifa is the only Nordic manufacturer of technical textiles with a complete production chain, from fiber to finished function. Our customers operate in various sectors, including process industries worldwide, manufacturing industries that use Nordifa components in their products, and renowned furniture designers. Nordifa has an annual turnover of approximately 110 million kronor. Since December 2024, Sporda Nonwoven is also part of the group, with a turnover of approximately 45 million kronor. We are now seeking a strategic procurement manager who wants to take overall responsibility for Nordifa's procurement work and help develop the company's supplier relationships, material selection, and procurement strategies. What We Offer You
As a strategic procurement manager, you will have a central role in our strategic procurement work and will work closely with our production units. You will be responsible for developing and updating agreements with suppliers of products and services. An important part of the role is to analyze our needs for raw materials and supplies, monitor the supplier market, and help ensure we stay ahead of the curve.
In this role, you will, among other things:
Work closely with the production and marketing departments and contribute your knowledge of the supplier market.
Responsible for contract and price negotiations and, together with the CEO, participate in supplier selection.
Work with material and product portfolio development to ensure competitive prices.
Update supplier information and prices that form the basis for our product calculations.
Work with sustainability issues and be responsible for reporting relevant information to customers.
Conduct supplier evaluations and follow up on collaborations.
We Are Looking for Someone Who Has:
Experience in strategic procurement and category buying, including contracts, price negotiations, and supplier development.
Experience from manufacturing industry, preferably in the textile sector.
Strong knowledge of contract law and experience with analyses, calculations, and forecasts.
Experience working in business systems. Knowledge of Monitor is a plus.
Experience with sustainability issues and supplier evaluations is a plus.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to be both responsive and clear.
A commercial, structured, and analytical approach to work.
Fluent Swedish and good English proficiency.
