The LSS Department is the third largest department within the Social Services Administration, with the mandate to implement decisions made according to the LSS law, primarily decisions regarding housing with special services, personal assistance, and daily activities. The goal of the support provided is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in community life so that individuals who have been granted services have the opportunity to live as others do.
Our work is carried out through individually tailored, high-quality support with self-determination at its core, where respectful treatment permeates all operations. We are now seeking 2-3 committed and goal-oriented support staff/support assistants!
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for working with the service user to establish and follow up on implementation plans, other social documentation, and additional administrative tasks/areas of responsibility such as scheduling, purchase orders, health and safety.
Together with your colleagues, you will carry out daily and planned support services and activities with the service user, and provide support and motivation in everyday activities at home and during leisure time. This includes building trusting relationships with service users and being a good role model.
You will ensure that support services are based on the service user's individual needs, promoting independence, participation, and that they are carried out with respect for the user's integrity and self-determination. You will assist with everyday tasks and activities, personal hygiene, and medication. The work often involves working alone, and working hours vary as we provide services during the day, evening, and weekends.
You will drive development work forward together with colleagues according to established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. Collaborating with the service user's network, other staff, and other partners is also an important part of the work.
Qualifications
We prefer that you have a secondary school diploma in either the Care and Nursing Program with specialization in disability support or psychiatry, the Children and Youth Program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work, or other equivalent education that the employer deems comparable.
To work in health and social care, you must be at least 18 years old. It is important that you are able to meet people professionally based on their individual circumstances and needs. As a person, you are self-motivated and stress-resilient with the individual in focus. You are empathetic and responsible, and you work well with others. You have good social skills and enjoy working flexibly. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
A valid driver's license class B is required.
The position requires sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate with service users, maintain care documentation, and receive medication delegation.
According to law, all individuals working in activities involving children under 18 years must provide a valid extract from the police criminal records register at the time of employment. You can order such an extract from the police.
