Meaningful interactions with our residents, strong collaboration, and excellent care are part of our daily life. Safe and stimulating environments for our residents as well. Does this sound appealing? Then this might be for you! We are now hiring a support educator for disability services! Husby tegelbruk group home is a newer facility that opened in 2024. The residence has five apartments and is designed for adults with disabilities. The home is situated on a large, secluded property, yet conveniently close to the center of Stallarholm where there is a grocery store, restaurant, and bakery. Each apartment has its own entrance and a patio overlooking the home's large back area with a peaceful view of forest and fields. The position begins with a six-month probation period and is subject to necessary approvals being granted. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES The support educator is a support function within the work team to plan, implement, evaluate, and analyze pedagogical work. The primary responsibility involves supporting and motivating residents with daily activities in order to increase independence according to each individual's abilities. The support educator is also responsible for monitoring developments in the field and participating in implementing new knowledge within the organization. You will support colleagues in developing and following up on individual implementation plans and documentation according to current legislation. The role also includes collaboration with the individual, their representative, family members, and other people in the person's network. As a support educator, you are part of a network with all support educators within the operational area, where the network's goal is to strengthen pedagogical competence and further develop evidence-based methods for the field. The position also includes administrative work. You will work according to a schedule with varying hours that include days, evenings, and weekends. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • education as a vocational support educator (YH 200 points), vocational social pedagogue (YH 400 points), or treatment pedagogue, or alternatively 60 university credits in disability, social work, pedagogy, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer • at least two years of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and autism • good knowledge of current legislation regarding documentation under the LSS and Social Services Act • good proficiency using IT/computers as a support tool in your work • strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Swedish • B-class driver's license and good driving skills. It is strongly advantageous if you have experience meeting individuals with challenging behaviors and if you have experience with TAKK. As a person, you are engaged, responsible, and respectful in your interactions. You have no problem working independently, but also see yourself as a team player—collaboration is essential for success in your view. You enjoy encouraging good performance and communicating with colleagues and residents. You are flexible and see solutions rather than obstacles or problems. You are pedagogically minded and enjoy motivating others. Working with clear goals is second nature to you, and you have the ability to stay focused on the objective even when the path gets winding. Personal suitability will be weighted heavily. We warmly welcome your application! Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: As soon as possible by agreement.
