We are now looking for a support educator for a full-time position distributed across 3 group homes (Äppelgården, Solvändan, and Kyrkbacken) in Tungelsta, Haninge. About the Role As a support educator, you will work alongside your colleagues in direct work with service users. Additionally, you will implement and apply Nytida's framework for pedagogy and contribute to developing personalized pedagogy for service users. This is to support service users in utilizing their cognitive and social abilities, strengthen their self-esteem, and enable a health-promoting life by serving as a role model and motivating healthy living. Together with other staff members, you will work toward making each day meaningful and enriching, performing care-related work, ensuring pleasant facilities, and participating in activities with service users. You will also mentor and support colleagues in social documentation and implementation plans, guide newly hired staff, and collaborate with the activity manager on development projects. You report to the activity manager. Becoming a manager could also be a future career opportunity for you. Working hours are daytime, evening, and weekends. The facilities are located in Tungelsta, Haninge and have been operated on contract for Haninge Municipality since 2009. Solvändan: A group home with space for six people with autism, autism-like conditions, or developmental disabilities. The facility is profiled to accommodate older people with disabilities. The house includes a garden with a large patio and extensive grassy areas. Kyrkbacken: A group home with space for six people with autism, autism-like conditions, or developmental disabilities. The facility is profiled to accommodate older people with disabilities. The house includes a garden with apple trees, a large patio, and a summerhouse. Äppelgården 1 and Äppelgården 2: Number 1 has space for four people, and number 2 has space for people with autism, autism-like conditions, or developmental disabilities. The facilities also offer integrated daily activities with scheduled activities every day. The facilities are located rurally with approximately 1 km to the nearest public transportation. The houses include gardens with large patios and extensive grassy areas, as well as a building for daily activities with various activity rooms. Since a large part of the integrated daily activities is based on outings, there is also a minibus and a car to carry out the activities, which means you will need a B-class driving license. Tungelsta is easily accessible by car, bus, or train. The group homes are nestled in nature with easy access to walking trails, forests, and horse pastures. Your Experience and Knowledge You are trained as a support educator at a vocational university or have relevant higher education. You have good computer skills, experience with documentation, and strong knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. Additional requirements include experience working with the target group under LSS (Swedish disability legislation). It is advantageous if you are also trained as a nursing assistant. As a person, you have a positive outlook and strong commitment to people. You are responsible, thorough, and enjoy working in a team.
