Daily Activities is a daytime occupation program for people with disabilities. In Skövde municipality, we have several different Daily Activities groups that work both within the organization and in the community. We have approximately 320 participants and around 90 employees. The program is part of the Health and Care sector, Skövde municipality. The Health and Care sector has an important public mission. We want to be at the forefront in what we do. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES We are looking for a Support Pedagogue for Eskobar! As a Support Pedagogue, you work to ensure that our participants can achieve the highest possible quality of life in their daily lives. Based on individual needs and wishes, you support our participants and work together with the rest of the staff in daily, everyday work with participants in their activities. For us, participants are in focus, and the role includes being practical and everyday support. In a pedagogical manner, you stimulate and motivate the individual toward participation and an independent life. In the role of Support Pedagogue, you contribute to the program with in-depth knowledge in the field. You provide support to colleagues in work with social documentation, communication and the development and use of individually adapted pedagogical methods that support the individual's participation and independence. As a Support Pedagogue, you have access to your own computer and mobile phone as additional tools in your assignment. The role also includes contributing to the unit's development, environmental monitoring and developing improvement areas. You will participate in network meetings with other support pedagogues. At Eskobar, participants need a clear structure and a predictable existence. Participants need communication to take place through various forms of visual support, and we are looking for you who have documented experience of working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). Here we work with low-arousal approaches and clarifying pedagogy. The unit has a high staff density in relation to the number of participants. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained as a Support Pedagogue and have knowledge and experience from the disability field. A requirement is that you have basic computer skills and very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We also see that you possess skills in conversation methods and have a salutogenic approach. Previous experience with social documentation is a merit. It is important that you have knowledge of various conversation methods such as social stories or drawing dialogue, as well as experience with clarifying pedagogy, low-arousal approaches and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). We see that you are a person who has a good ability to work independently and drive processes forward. You collaborate well with colleagues in various functions in your vicinity. You work best in close work while being comfortable with administrative tasks. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Driver's license category B for manual transmission is a requirement as travel occurs in the work. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement.
