DUTIES
Do you want to make a real difference and have a commitment to young people? Take the chance and apply to be a support family under the LSS framework for a thirteen-year-old! As a support family, you open your home for a predetermined number of days per month. Together with the guardians, you plan which days work. The young person will find security, community, and fun activities tailored to their needs, wishes, and circumstances at your home. You also become important support for the guardians in the form of relief and an extra resource that makes a real difference.
This assignment suits you/you if you want to make a meaningful contribution rather than prioritize earning an income, as it does not constitute employment. Read more about compensation further down.
QUALIFICATIONS
As a support family, it is important that you have a stable daily life. The assignment is mainly about creating a safe and trusting relationship. This should be done by offering structure in a pressure-free way, listening and meeting with empathy, being calm, showing patience, and keeping your promises.
The assignment also involves dedicating time. Continuity is crucial for the assignment to succeed. Therefore, it is important to take on the assignment with the goal of staying involved over a longer perspective.
Other Information
Regarding compensation, expense reimbursement and fees are paid based on SKR guidelines and final assessment by Mullsjö municipality. There is also the opportunity to receive supervision and regular check-ins to support you in carrying out the assignment.
The guardians or other relatives are responsible for drop-off and pick-up at your home as the support family. They are also responsible for providing pocket money for activities such as admissions, cinema, or similar.
Scope:
3 days per month
B-class driver's license.
To receive an assignment as a support family, an investigation is conducted where information about your various life areas is gathered. References and extracts from various registers, such as the criminal record register, are also requested. It is preferred if you live in or near Mullsjö. Experience with NPF diagnoses acquired through work or in another relevant way is an asset. Great weight is placed on personal qualities.
You should work well in cooperation with the social services as the client and have the ability for transparent and constructive communication and coordination with guardians, as well as work toward agreed-upon goals.
