4 position(s). Business and Workplace Description We are seeking dedicated support assistants for Sturegatan service home, Slätta centrum group home, and Herrhagsvägen group home. Our operations are conducted in accordance with LSS and are based on each individual's right to self-determination, participation, and a safe and meaningful life. At the service and group homes, we work in a person-centered manner with a pedagogical approach. We create conditions for residents to maintain and develop their abilities and to live as independently as possible based on their own circumstances. Work Duties As a support assistant, you provide support, service, and care based on the residents' individual needs and implementation plans. You work closely with residents in their daily lives and contribute to creating structure, security, and predictability. You demonstrate professional conduct, provide reassuring support, and work to maintain and develop the individual's abilities. Your work includes, among other things: Provide support with personal care, hygiene, and meal situations Support residents with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping Plan, implement, and follow up on activities and interventions based on the individual's needs and wishes Work with clarifying pedagogy and low-affect communication Document according to applicable legislation and organizational procedures Prepare, follow up on, and develop implementation plans Collaborate with relatives, appointed guardians, daily activities, healthcare, and other partners Contribute to the organization's quality and development work Contribute to a good work environment and positive collaboration within the work group Perform delegated medical tasks For work at group homes, handling various assistive devices is included, such as lifts, Permobil, wheelchairs, and training equipment, as well as bedside care. Heavy lifting and extensive care needs occur at Herrhagsvägen. At Slätta centrum, heavy lifting may occasionally occur. Assistive devices at the service home may include time and planning aids, training equipment, walkers, and wheelchairs. Qualifications The role requires: Education in healthcare and care, social work, disability services, or other education that the employer considers equivalent Experience working within LSS and good knowledge of the target group Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written Experience using computers and mobile devices as work tools The ability to actively participate in various leisure activities such as exercise, swimming, bowling, and cycling The work may involve contact with pets and chlorinated water. Therefore, any allergies must be manageable in such environments. Personal Qualities: To succeed in this role, you need to be confident in your professional practice, have a professional approach, and be able to adapt your support based on each individual's needs and circumstances. You are attentive, responsible, and have a strong ability to create and maintain trusting relationships. The work requires that you can work independently, make well-founded decisions in daily situations, and actively contribute to good collaboration within the work group. You have a good ability to document and follow up on interventions according to applicable guidelines. You also understand the importance of structure, continuity, and a shared working approach. Meritorious Qualifications: Experience working within LSS group/service homes Experience with low-affect communication Experience working with challenging/problem-causing behaviors Knowledge of NPF diagnoses, intellectual disabilities, and mental health issues Experience with social documentation and implementation plans Experience with pedagogical approaches and clarifying pedagogy Experience with care work Employment Terms This recruitment concerns four permanent positions with start date by agreement. Within Falun Municipality, the working hours agreement "Full-time for All" is applied, where full-time is the baseline but with the option to apply for a lower employment rate. We work according to a base schedule, and working hours may change based on the organization's staffing needs. Work at other units may occur, both as regular shifts and as needed. For the Sturegatan and Slätta Centrum positions, work includes day, evening, weekend, and revised on-call shifts, where the entire on-call shift counts as working time. Solo work may occur. For the Herrhagsvägen position, work includes day, evening, weekend, and awake night shifts. A night shift may potentially be created if there is interest. Currently, the unit is staffed with 4 employees during day and evening and 2 employees at night.
