We are now seeking three dedicated support assistants for Housing with Special Services (BmSS) in Örgryte. The operation consists of three units in the same building and is directed toward adults with intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injury, NPF, as well as mental health conditions and varying care needs. As a support assistant, you will be an important part of the tenants' daily lives. You will help create structure, security, and quality of life, and contribute to enabling each individual to live as independently and meaningfully as possible, both at home and in society. We are engaged in exciting development work where we collectively strengthen work methods, structure, and approaches to enhance the quality of our services. Here you will have the opportunity to have influence, contribute ideas, and help shape the work methods of the future. The three units are located in the same building, which provides excellent opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing. You will have your primary placement on one of the units, but will also work across unit boundaries. This creates variety in the work, strengthens team spirit, and contributes to cohesive support for those we serve. Job responsibilities include: • Create structure and provide educational support in daily activities • Support with personal care with respect and responsiveness • Meal preparation and other household tasks • Initiate and participate in activities that promote participation and quality of life • Work with social documentation and implementation plans to ensure quality, continuity, and development • Carry out delegated tasks according to the Health and Medical Services Act The work is varied and requires flexibility, responsiveness, professional and respectful conduct. Work is scheduled according to Time Care, with planning in 4-week periods. The position involves work during day, evening, and weekend shifts. Qualifications We are seeking applicants with a degree from the Care and Health Program, support assistant education, or the Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. Educational requirements are also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability services field comprising at least 200 vocationally-oriented points, 120 university credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant courses in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered a language test administered by Educateit. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of methods such as low-arousal approaches (LAB), alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and clarifying pedagogy. When needed, you use different communication methods, such as visual supports and AAC, to create understanding and participation.
