3 position(s). Support Assistants for a supported living facility in social psychiatry Would you like a job where your calm demeanor, attentiveness, and ability to create secure relationships truly make a difference? We are now seeking three support assistants for a supported living facility in social psychiatry. Here you will meet people with various needs and, together with your colleagues, contribute to a safe everyday life and develop support that strengthens individuals' independence. YOUR ROLE As a support assistant, you work to support and help people based on their individual needs, wishes, and circumstances. The work is based on implementation plans and is conducted with clear pedagogy, structure, and a professional approach. In daily work, you meet adults with various mental health diagnoses and varying support needs. For some, support is primarily about creating structure, motivation, and predictability. For others, the work may also involve practical support and care. The work requires you to meet changing needs and situations by working preventatively, remaining calm, and adapting your approach. Together with your colleagues, you create safety and a functioning whole around the individual. In parallel, we are also recruiting a support pedagogue and a specialist nursing assistant. This means that several new colleagues with different competencies will join simultaneously and become part of the continued development of Anderstorg 16. We are seeking three support assistants. One of the roles involves day, evening, and weekend work, and two involve awake night shifts. Night work involves significant independent responsibility and is therefore suitable for you if you feel comfortable working independently, making assessments, and acting when unexpected situations arise. YOUR COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE The role requires care and support education at upper secondary level or a Child and Leisure Program with a focus on pedagogical or social work. Other education that we assess as equivalent may also be relevant. Experience working with people with mental health issues and people with physical, psychological, or intellectual disabilities is also a requirement. To succeed in the role, you need sufficiently good Swedish language skills to communicate, access information, and document, as well as being able to show a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. The work also requires you to have the physical capabilities for the job tasks. We also prefer that you have experience in care, pedagogical methods, clear working approaches, or low-arousal interactions. Skellefteå Municipality is part of the Finnish and Sámi administration area. Language skills in Finnish and Sámi, as well as cultural competence in these areas, are meriting. For us, your personal competencies are at least as important as your education and experience. Your ability to build relationships helps you take initiative in making contact and establishing the trust needed to provide the right support. You are stable and remain calm even in pressured situations. With a considerate approach, you listen, put yourself in the individual's situation, and adapt your approach according to need. You also need to be collaboration-oriented and able to contribute your experience, listen to others, and follow the routines and working methods that the team agrees upon. For this role, you are required by law to present a current police certificate from the Swedish Police Authority before any potential employment. This applies to the certificate for "Work in the home with elderly people or people with disabilities." You are responsible for ordering the correct certificate through polisen.se. YOUR NEW WORKPLACE Anderstorg 16 is a close-knit supported living facility with 24-hour staffing. We offer daily support to people with mental and neuropsychiatric disabilities as well as mild intellectual disabilities. Residents live in their own apartments and have access to a common room in close proximity to their apartment. The target group is broad, which makes every day varied. For one person, support may be about creating structure, motivation, and participation, while another may need more practical support and care. What is common is the goal that each person receives the support needed to live as independently as possible. The work team is growing and gaining more competencies. As a support assistant, you become part of a team where different experiences, knowledge, and perspectives complement each other. There is room to contribute ideas and together develop routines and working methods based on the residents' needs. The work team also has the opportunity to be involved in scheduling. GOOD TO KNOW We recruit based on competency and focus on your experience, knowledge, and potential. Instead of a personal letter, you answer a few selection questions and attach an updated CV.
