Grevegårdsvägen 204B is a residential facility with special services for individuals with mental health and neuropsychiatric disabilities. We are now seeking a support assistant for a temporary position of at least 6 months with the possibility of extension. As a support assistant, you will center the individual's needs, abilities, and interests, and support users in their daily lives and in their right to self-determination. You work creatively and innovatively with motivation to promote the development of the user's own resources. Together with users, you work to provide the best possible conditions for an independent life with high quality of life. You work according to individually developed implementation plans. We will use the methods Independent Living (ESL), Motivational Interviewing (MI), low-affect approaches (LAB), and Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AKK). The work includes social documentation and collaboration with both internal and external parties who are key people in the user's life. We want to create teams where employees' strengths are used appropriately and contribute to a work environment with an open atmosphere and solution-focused discussions. Work will be scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. Qualifications We are looking for candidates with a degree from the Care and Service Program, support assistant training, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The education requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four full-time terms of study. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for persons with disabilities. Your education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working as a support assistant as well as experience in psychiatry and neuropsychiatry. Previous work with comorbidity is a merit. It is necessary that you have experience and knowledge of ESL, MI, AKK, and LAB and are accustomed to working creatively. You need to master Swedish in speech and writing, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. This is because documentation is part of your work and you must be able to use our IT systems. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. A driver's license is viewed positively as we have access to a vehicle for our activities.
