About Unika Nimbus Children and Youth Residential Home
Unika Nimbus Children and Youth Residential Home in Lund is a residential facility for children and young people in LSS service category 1. We are a flexible operation where we have the ability to meet each resident's individual needs and interests in everything from leisure activities to daily preferences. We often take excursions to nearby attractions, engage in leisure activities together, visit nearby shops, or take the bus into town. We strive for participation and influence for our young residents in everything from cooking to choosing a film for movie night. Nimbus is located in a beautiful residential area in northern Lund.
About the Support Assistant Role
As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually adapted support to people with disabilities, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support the residents in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, and always use their personal implementation plan as the starting point.
We work with a salutogenic and educational approach, where we start from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for residents to achieve as much independence as possible and be able to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work using clarifying pedagogy and low-affect interaction to create security and predictability in the residents' everyday lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the operation's resources.
Qualifications
Very good ability in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
Experience working with clarifying pedagogy.
Experience working in care and support.
Secondary education such as children and youth program, care and support program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or higher education in a relevant field.
Driver's license is a requirement.
Meriting qualifications if you also have
Experience with AAC and low-affect interaction.
Worked with complex support needs.
Employment Terms
Employment form: Permanent Position
Position percentage: Approximately 85%
Working hours: Irregular, evenings, on-call nights, weekends
Start date: By agreement
Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreement with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
