Are you a support assistant/nursing assistant looking to work with elderly individuals within LSS? Are care work and method development your areas of interest? Then you might be the person we're looking for at Grindstugevägen 36! With us, you'll have the opportunity to be part of a team that works on development both within the team and for the residents at our LSS care home. You'll be part of creating tomorrow's care and support for the first generation of elderly people with intellectual disabilities. We continuously strive to stay at the forefront of work with our target group of elderly LSS residents through new approaches, methods, and skills development in the form of training on aging and disability. Working hours include day shifts, evening shifts, and on-call night shifts, as well as working every other weekend. On weekdays, shift times vary and are scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. On-call night shifts begin at 6:00 PM and end at 10:00 AM the following day, while weekend on-call shifts start at 4:00 PM and end at 9:15 AM. We also offer flexible hours that can be used when work allows. Working hours may change based on operational needs and conditions. This is a permanent position at 75% employment with the opportunity to work full-time within the Care and Social Services Department. Start date by agreement. Your New Job As a support assistant with us, you provide individually tailored support to our residents based on their needs, circumstances, and wishes. You help them create structure in their daily lives, promote independence, and manage situations and challenges that may arise, both at home and in the community. In this role, you work with care, support, and educational assistance. You use and develop approaches and methods that strengthen each individual's participation and communication, such as through the Five Finger model and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). We would therefore appreciate your interest in method development and a person-centered approach. Our goal is to create conditions for good living conditions and a meaningful daily life for our residents. With knowledge, commitment, and respectful interaction, you contribute to strengthening each individual's ability to live as independently as possible. The team currently consists of seven dedicated support assistants and support staff who work together to provide the right support for each individual. We value continuity, teamwork, and good relationships, and actively work to promote both physical and mental well-being through activities tailored to each person's needs and interests. To succeed in your role, you collaborate with support educators and special educators. You also have access to competency support from occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and district nurses within the organization. Common Duties Care and support for elderly individuals All household tasks Delegated tasks from occupational therapists, physical therapists, or district nurses Participate in various activities with individuals, from walks to vacation trips Documentation Your Qualifications Requirements Trained nursing assistant, support assistant, or other education the employer deems equivalent Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing Good computer skills Meritorious Experience with care work Experience working with elderly people with disabilities Experience working with people with dementia Experience working with people with epilepsy Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) System experience in one or more of our systems: Viva, MCSS, DF-respons Class B driver's license We're Looking for You Someone who is confident, stable, and has self-awareness.
