The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support, care and assistance to people in different stages of life. We work based on the individual's needs and offer services that are based on several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS) and the Health and Medical Care Act.
This can involve providing elderly people with a secure and meaningful daily life, supporting people with functional disabilities, or being there for children, young people and adults in vulnerable life situations.

JOB DUTIES
Do you want to work close to people and make a difference in their daily lives? With us, you get to be part of creating security, participation and development for people with functional variation or mental health challenges. We are looking for someone who enjoys a varied daily routine, where communication, structure and commitment are central.
As a support assistant, you work with providing pedagogical, social and practical support to people with functional variation in their daily lives. The goal is to strengthen the individual's independence, quality of life and participation in society.
The role includes, among other things:
- Supporting the individual in daily life according to implementation plan
- Motivating and creating structure around activities, health and social interaction
- Collaborating with family members, colleagues and other actors
- Documenting measures in digital systems according to current procedures
- Working based on a low-key approach and with the individual's needs in focus
You can work within both functional support (according to LSS) and social psychiatry (according to SoL), in facilities such as group homes, service housing or supported housing. In all activities, the purpose is to promote independence, health and participation based on the individual's needs. Work is scheduled during daytime, evenings and weekends, depending on the facility's needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
As someone who is applying, you have a genuine interest in working with people and a strong ability to build trust and develop relationships. You are secure, attentive and have the ability to adapt your approach according to different individuals' needs and circumstances.
We also see that you have:
- Upper secondary education in care and nursing, children and leisure, or alternatively other education that the employer considers equivalent, such as a 2-year folk high school education as a support assistant at upper secondary level.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing
A Class B driver's license may be required depending on the activity.
Experience of working within social psychiatry or functional support is a merit.
