Daily activity services provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities. In Skövde Municipality, we operate several different daily activity groups with over 300 participants and around 90 staff members. The services are part of the Health and Care Sector of Skövde Municipality. The Health and Care Sector has an important public mission. In the role of support assistant within daily activity services, you contribute to ensuring our participants have meaningful employment. Based on individual needs, you support and guide people with disabilities in their daily activities. You plan the work, provide support and ensure that participants feel secure. You also support participants in their social interactions. You work to enable our participants to achieve the highest possible quality of life in their daily lives. Based on individual needs and preferences, you provide support to our participants in daily, everyday work in their activities. With us, the participant is in focus, and your role includes being practical and everyday support. In a pedagogical manner, you stimulate and motivate the individual to participate and live independently. We are now recruiting staff for two of our units. Eskobar: The participants in this group need clear structure and predictable routines. Participants need communication through various forms of visual supports, and we are looking for you with documented experience working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). We work with low-arousal approaches and clarifying pedagogy. The unit has high staff density in relation to the number of participants. Fyrklövern: In this group, you support participants who have significant and varying needs in their daily lives. The focus is on social interaction and creating meaningful and stimulating activities. Participants need adapted physical and communicative support. You lead and plan collective activities both in groups and individually. Your work tasks also include assisting with medication distribution, handling physical and digital aids, and performing delegated and prescribed healthcare services in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). Your knowledge and experience are valuable, and it is part of your role to contribute to developing our shared working methods. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with upper secondary education and approved grades from a care and assistance program or children's and leisure program, or equivalent education. It is beneficial if you have knowledge of conversation methods such as social stories or visual supports. Experience with clarifying pedagogy, low-arousal approaches and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is desired. As a person, you are calm and secure and have a respectful, good and adapted approach. To succeed in the role, we see that you have good cooperation skills, are solution-focused and adapt easily to new circumstances. To thrive in the role, we believe you have the ability to take personal responsibility in your professional role, are proactive and used to working independently. It is important that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish, as you and the participant need to understand each other, but also to carry out documentation. You have computer skills and preferably experience with social documentation. We see that you are a person who has good ability to work independently and drive processes forward. You cooperate well with colleagues in different functions near you. You work best in direct contact with participants, while being comfortable with administrative tasks. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Driver's license category B for manual transmission vehicles is required as travel is part of the work. Employment form: Permanent employment.
