The Social Services Department (LSS) is the third largest department within the Welfare Administration, with the responsibility of implementing decisions made according to the LSS Act, primarily decisions regarding housing with special service, personal assistance, and daily activities. The goal of the support provided is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in community life so that individuals granted a service have the opportunity to live like others.

We are now seeking an engaged and goal-oriented support assistant for Bryggans group home located in central Domsjö! The position is permanent at 100% with start date by agreement.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for working together with the service user to establish and follow up implementation plans, other social documentation, and additional administrative tasks/responsibility areas such as scheduling, purchase orders, health and safety.
Together with your colleagues, you will provide day-to-day and planned support and activities with the service user, and provide support and motivation in daily activities at home and during leisure time. This includes building trusting relationships with service users and being a good role model.
You will ensure that support services are based on the service user's individual needs, promote independence, participation, and are carried out with respect for the service user's integrity and self-determination. You will help with everyday chores and activities, personal hygiene, and medication. The work often means you may work alone and working hours are flexible as we provide support during day, evening, weekends, and nights.
You will drive development work forward together with colleagues according to established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. Collaborating with the service user's network, other staff, and other partners is also an important part of the work.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a secondary school diploma in either the Care and Health Program with specialization in disability or psychiatry, the Children and Recreation Program with a focus on social work or educational work, or other equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent.
To work in care and health you must be at least 18 years old. It is important that you have the ability to meet people in a professional manner based on their individual circumstances and needs. As a person you are independent and stress-resilient with the individual in focus. You are empathetic and conscientious and have an easy time collaborating with others. You have good social skills and enjoy working in a flexible manner. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Driver's License B is required.
The position requires sufficient knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing to communicate with service users, perform care documentation, and receive medication delegation.
According to new procedures, you will need to provide a valid criminal record check for "Work with the elderly and disabled." You can order such a document from the police website.
