About the job As a support assistant, you place the individual's needs, abilities, and interests at the center and support the user in daily life as well as in the right to self-determination. Together with the users, you work to provide the best conditions possible for an independent life with high quality of life. You work based on individually established implementation plans. We will use the methods Independent Living (ESL), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and low-arousal approaches (LAB). The work includes social documentation and collaboration with both internal and external parties who are key people in the user's life. We want to create teams where employees' strengths are used appropriately and contribute to a work environment with a positive and open culture where discussions are solution-focused. You are interested in shaping our operations and can quickly adapt to new or changed circumstances in your work. You have the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing, as documentation is part of your work. The work will be scheduled for day shifts, evening shifts, and weekend duty. We use scheduling in Multiaccess. We also work with ARP and resource sessions. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree from the Care and Services Program, support assistant training, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You need extensive experience working with people with mental health and neuropsychiatric conditions. Communication and social documentation are important parts of the work; therefore, you need to master the Swedish language in speech and writing, which requires approved grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through test provider Educateit. Experience with knowledge of ESL, MI, and low-arousal approaches are considered merits.
