Your New Position You will work closely with supporting and reassuring children/youth during their short-term stays away from their own homes. As an employee, you will plan, activate, and structure the daily routine based on IBIC (the individual's needs at the center). Your work also includes care, medication management, household tasks, documentation, and serving as a contact person. Other tasks may occur and change over time. Challenging/acting-out behavior occurs, and we adopt a pedagogical approach and low-affective interactions. Communication and collaboration take place with the children's/youth's legal representatives, colleagues, supervisors, and other professionals such as healthcare, school, and authorities. Together, you will identify and create conditions for meaningful and safe stays while enabling the child's/youth's network to be relieved and recover. Your Qualifications You seeking this position are a trained support assistant, which means you have completed and passed secondary education from the care and healthcare program with specialization in disability services/psychiatry or the children and leisure program with a focus on social work/pedagogical work. Alternatively, other education that the employer deems relevant. It is advantageous if you have further training in neuropsychiatric disabilities, LAB, clarifying pedagogy, and sign language communication. We also consider it desirable if you have previous work experience with this target group. You must be fluent in Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension, as contact, documentation, and reading of work-related information occur. Digital work tools are used, and you are expected to be comfortable managing them. A Class B driving license is required for this position. We are looking for someone who is calm and instills confidence. You have good pedagogical insight and possess good knowledge of working with the target group. Furthermore, you are solution-focused by viewing challenges and setbacks as opportunities for development. You are driven to support and motivate others while adapting to the individual and situation. The work requires good ability to collaborate and build relationships with others. During short-term stays, children/youth alternate at the short-term care home to provide relief to parents with the opportunity to feel at home in a homelike environment with present staff. The work team currently consists of 6 employees working to create security and stimulation for the individual. We value good collaboration, knowledge exchange, team spirit, and everyone contributing to a pleasant work environment. The facility is located at Vättersnäs. Good to Know The recruitment concerns a permanent position where working hours are arranged for day/evening/on-call shifts, weekdays and weekends.
