JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to work in an organization where you have the opportunity to make a difference for other people and develop as a person? We are now seeking support assistants for two of our group homes where you, through a pedagogical approach, will support and develop people with disabilities to a well-functioning everyday life based on an implementation plan. The work includes, among other things, support and motivation and structure in daily activities, help and support with personal care, leisure activities, and social contacts.
As a support assistant, you will, based on your knowledge and from a care perspective, support people with disabilities where we work according to an implementation plan to achieve good quality in the delivery of the service. The work is based on the organization's mission objectives, and here you have the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.
In our group homes, we support people with neuropsychiatric disabilities as well as intellectual disabilities. We also provide support to people with mental health issues and psychiatric diagnoses. Challenging behavior occurs and needs to be prevented and managed in a professional manner.
Working hours consist of evenings/weekends/on-call shifts. We work with annual working time and full-time is the standard.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have education equivalent to a nursing assistant or children's and leisure program, or a higher education degree that we consider relevant within social work, pedagogy, or behavioral science. It is an advantage to have knowledge of autism spectrum disorder, intellectual and mental disabilities, clarifying pedagogy, and low-arousal approaches. It is also an advantage to have experience working with people with emotionally unstable personality disorder.
We are looking for you who are stable, confident, and secure in your professional role. Through good interactions and communication, you create trustful relationships and collaborations. You will be part of a work team and need to have a social and flexible approach to work, and you should be able to work both independently and in a group. You also need to have good skills in the Swedish language in order to communicate and document.
