The Culture School is primarily located at the Fregatten Cultural Center.
The unit consists of 11 permanent employees and a unit manager, distributed across just over seven full-time positions.
Organizationally, the Culture School is a unit within Culture and Recreation, which comprises the units Library, Culture, Culture School, Sports Facilities, Parks and Nature, and Youth Activities.
Do you want to inspire children through music and performing arts? Stenungsund Culture School is seeking two musical artists who, together with a live band, want to create an engaging and musical sing-along experience for the municipality's youngest students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
During the 2026/2027 school year, Stenungsund Culture School will implement a sing-along project for students in preschool class and grade 1. As a musical artist, you will participate in planning, rehearsals, and execution of the performance, as well as lead the students in sing-alongs during several performances.
The project will be conducted together with a live band and aims to give children an enjoyable musical experience where they actively participate through singing.
Your responsibilities include:
• Rehearse and teach the project's songs together with the live band.
• Help create a performative framework and an engaging scenic expression.
• Participate in recording the songs to be used as internal training material for students.
• Perform the show and lead the students in sing-alongs during five performances.
• The work will take place at Fregatten Cultural Center in Stenungsund and includes a total of eight full days.
Work Schedule:
Week 44 (2026), October 26-28. Rehearsal, including a live performance of the songs on Wednesday in the cultural center's café.
Week 52 (2026), December 21-22. Recording of the songs as internal training material for students to practice.
Week 18 (2027), May 3-5. Performance rehearsal on Monday. Performances Tuesday and Wednesday.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
• Has good singing ability.
• Has experience performing on stage and meeting audiences.
• Is confident in leading and engaging groups.
• Has good collaboration skills and enjoys working with others.
• Preferably has experience with musical theater, music theater, or other stage productions.
A clean criminal record check must be provided.
This position is a project-based employment with compensation in the form of hourly wages. Each assignment provides compensation for a full day (8 hours) even if the work on-site is shorter. This is to compensate for preparation time beyond work on-site.
Salary by agreement.
