Lärtech is Vetlanda Municipality's initiative to strengthen children's and young people's interest and knowledge in natural sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The operation is a meeting place between school, working life, and society, and offers school programs, workshops, professional development for educators, leisure activities, and development projects.
As a STEM Educator, you work to spark curiosity, strengthen self-confidence, and create understanding in technology, mathematics, and natural sciences.
In this role, you will, among other things:
plan, conduct, and develop school programs, workshops, and other STEM activities
inspire children and students of different ages through practical and exploratory learning
develop activities in, for example, programming, construction, electronics, digital tools, AI, and VR and AR technology
provide support, inspiration, and professional development for teachers and educators
participate in school break activities, leisure activities, and other arrangements for children and young people
collaborate with schools, companies, organizations, and other actors
follow developments in STEM and implement relevant knowledge in the operation

Qualifications
We're looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education in, for example, technology, natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, education, or another area that we consider equivalent.
For this position, you also need:
experience educating, mentoring, or leading activities for children, young people, or adults
good knowledge in one or more STEM fields
the ability to plan, conduct, and follow up on educational activities
the ability to adapt content, communication, and working methods to different target groups and conditions
comfort using, exploring, and learning technical and digital equipment
good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing
Category B driver's license

It is advantageous if you have:
subject knowledge in technology, mathematics, or natural sciences
experience in programming, automation, PLC, or similar fields
experience with makerspace, digital creation, AI, VR, or AR
experience teaching in preschool, primary school, or adapted primary school
experience training or mentoring educators
teacher certification or other educational training
interest in sustainable development, reuse, entrepreneurship, and innovation

Employment type: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: Start as soon as possible, by agreement. Selection and interviews are held on a rolling basis.
Working hours: Daytime hours, but work at other times may occur in connection with school break activities, events, and other activities.
