Do you love technology, programming, math, or science and want to inspire younger students to discover how fun it can be? We're looking for STEM mentors for Lärtech and Komtek.
This is a rewarding part-time job for high school students. You'll use your knowledge and interests while developing skills in leadership, pedagogy, and group responsibility.
Komtek is a municipal technology school for children and students in elementary through high school. The program is part of Lärtech, Vetlanda kommun's initiative to strengthen children's and young people's interest and knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and math. Here, joyful learning, creativity, and curiosity are at the center.
As a STEM mentor, you'll be a role model for children and young people in Komtek's course activities. Working together with the program's regular staff, you'll plan and lead practical activities where participants investigate, create, collaborate, and solve problems.
Your responsibilities include:
prepare, lead, and follow up on practical STEM course sessions
build a sense of safety, inclusion, and curiosity in the group
support participants in problem-solving, collaboration, and creative work
be a role model and inspiration for children and young people
With us, you'll receive an introduction, support with planning, and close collaboration with Lärtech's regular staff. You'll have the opportunity to develop your own STEM knowledge and help shape courses and activities based on your interests and ideas.
We're looking for someone who…
is a high school student with a clear interest in one or more STEM areas. You're responsible, reliable, and come prepared to activities. You want to develop your leadership skills and can explain things in a simple, encouraging, and engaging way.
You enjoy collaborating but can also take independent responsibility for your tasks. Most importantly, you're curious, want to grow, and enjoy helping younger participants build confidence to try things on their own.
The position is temporary through June 30, 2027, and you'll work as needed. Working hours are primarily on weekday evenings and during school breaks. Start date by agreement.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
