When testing is to be conducted, it is not enough to have the right technical equipment in place. The assignment needs to be staffed with the right expertise, resources need to be planned, and multiple parts of the business need to be coordinated. This is the daily reality where you will work as a group manager in the measurement division at Bofors Test Center. Bofors Test Center conducts advanced testing of everything from individual components to complete weapons systems for customers in the defense industry and civilian companies. Here you will be the department manager's closest support and will use your technical background in a role where planning, coordination, and leadership go hand in hand. When technology must work in practice The division consists of three sections: measurement, photography, and environmental durability. You are the leader of measurement with 15 measurement engineers and three measurement technicians. In the department manager's absence, you also participate in the company's management group. You work closely with the department manager alongside managers of photography, environmental durability, and a technical manager. An important part of your assignment will be to keep daily operations running smoothly. You are responsible for ensuring that each test is staffed with the right expertise in measurement technology and is conducted with the right equipment and other resources so that the assignment can be completed safely and efficiently with the highest possible quality. This means you work closely with other departments in the company. At the same time, you work closely with your employees. You lead and coach, contribute technical assessments to the measurement division. Your responsibilities also include assisting the department manager with information for future investments in measurement technology and therefore monitoring technological developments in the field. Support the department manager and lead and coordinate the entire division's operations in their absence. Lead, coach, and develop employees within the division. Plan and coordinate the division's activities. Staff assignments with the right expertise based on customer needs. Ensure that the right equipment and resources are available. Participate in daily operations and contribute technical assessments. Work with improvements and efficiency measures in operations. Collaborate with internal functions, customers, and partners. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience. Experience from technical operations where planning and coordination have been an important part of the work. Experience leading or coordinating employees. Good understanding of technical systems and advanced equipment. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written. Experience in measurement, testing, radar, sensors, signal processing, or related technical fields is advantageous. As a person, you are confident and structured with the ability to make decisions and build trust with both engineers and technicians. You enjoy working close to operations, are curious about new technology, and are comfortable challenging established working methods when you see that something can be done better.
