As an automation technician with us, you'll have a varied workday with technical challenges in a complex and exciting production environment. You work closely with operations, maintenance, electricians, and mechanics where you together are responsible for ensuring that production has reliable and efficient systems. The role involves both operational work near the facility and participation in improvement and development projects. An important part of your assignment is to contribute to high operational availability by working proactively with troubleshooting, improvements, and development of automation solutions. Over time, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to work related to SSAB's new steel mill. The work can encompass everything from programming and system changes to testing, commissioning, and optimization of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems. Your main areas of responsibility · Ensure high operational availability in the steel mill's production facility · Work with troubleshooting, operation, and improvement of automation systems · Develop and implement automation solutions in existing systems · Participate in projects related to production and maintenance · Provide technical support to the operations organization · Collaborate with internal functions and external suppliers About you · Technical education in electrical and automation (secondary or post-secondary) · Experience from process industry or similar environment · Strong competence in electrical and automation systems · Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written · B-class driver's license Meritorious · Siemens S7 and TIA Portal · SCADA systems (e.g., iFix or WinCC) · Networks and industrial IT systems For you to thrive in the role, we see that you · Have curiosity and drive to learn new things · Take responsibility and have a strong safety mindset · Are structured, solution-oriented, and work goal-oriented · Thrive in a production environment where your contribution makes a difference every day · Have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive team climate Our offer We offer a broad range of valued benefits to our employees.
