Description
Utbynässkolan is a grades F-3 school with approximately 200 students and about 25 employees, including professionals within student health services. It is a small and safe school with proximity to nature and our school forest. The facilities are newly renovated with a new school cafeteria and gymnasium. The schoolyard has also recently been upgraded with new play equipment.
At the school, we maintain an open climate and together with our ambitious students and engaged parents, we collaborate with a clear goal orientation to create safety and a welcoming environment for our students.
Job Responsibilities
As a special education teacher with us, you will work at the organizational, group, and individual levels to create and develop learning environments that support all students' development toward the school's learning goals. At all levels, you will work with promoting, preventive, and interventional measures. Some collaboration with external partners may also occur.
You are part of a student health team where you work together with the school's other professionals to support and strengthen students' learning and development. You conduct assessments and evaluations of students in need of special support in grades F-3, as part of the systematic quality work and regularly follow up on these results. You are accustomed to working digitally and have good knowledge of assistive tools and learning resources, both digital and physical. You will work with several digital systems, including Vklass, which is the school's learning platform, and PMO.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with further education as a special education teacher. Experience working as a special education teacher is a merit. Experience with the digital systems PMO and Vklass is also a merit.
You are a skilled educator who can adapt your instruction to meet students' needs. You are clear in your communication and your thoughts and ideas are heard; you can influence decisions in a particular direction. You work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as successful as possible. You can adjust your work approach when things change and can quickly shift your perspective and mindset, seeing opportunities in change. Furthermore, you are organized through planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work efficiently. You ensure that work is completed on time and follow up on results.
