Elementary school/adapted elementary school activities are part of the Education Administration. The activities include 21 elementary schools and adapted elementary school, with a total of approximately 4,500 students. Four of the elementary schools are upper secondary schools, while the rest, with a few exceptions, include grades F-6. The activities also include after-school centers. Mariebergsskolan is a school for everyone as it encompasses preschool class through grade 9 together with adapted elementary school. Mariebergsskolan is where students, parents, and staff experience safety, trust, and community. The goal of the activities is for everyone to succeed based on their capabilities, and the foundation for this is a positive school climate, staff commitment, and pedagogical skill. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a special education teacher with us, you will be an important part of student welfare and work closely with school leadership, teachers, and other professionals to create good conditions for students' learning, development, and goal achievement. You will work primarily in a promoting and preventive manner by supporting the development of accessible learning environments and contributing specialized pedagogical expertise to the school's work at individual, group, and organizational levels. The role includes conducting pedagogical assessments and investigations, analyzing students' support needs, and participating in work with accommodations and special support. You will mentor and support teachers and work teams in specialized pedagogical matters and be a qualified discussion partner in work to develop instruction and learning environments based on students' needs. As part of the student welfare team, you collaborate with students, guardians, school leadership, and external actors to create the best conditions for the student's learning and development. The role also includes contributing to the school's systematic quality work and ensuring that support measures are implemented in accordance with applicable legislation and governing documents. You are responsible for and participate in work with pedagogical investigations, documentation, and action plans, and contribute to developing and quality-assuring the school's routines in the specialized pedagogical area. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has a specialized pedagogy degree and teacher certification. Experience working as a special education teacher in upper secondary school is a merit. You have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and experience working with accommodations, special support, pedagogical investigations, and action plans. We would like to see that you have experience mentoring staff and working in student welfare teams. We particularly value your ability to create trusting relationships and collaborate with students, guardians, colleagues, and external actors. You are responsive, communicative, and have a consultative working style that contributes to developing instruction and learning environments based on students' needs. To succeed in this role, you need to be organized, thorough, and have strong ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on your work. You work in a legally secure manner and have a great understanding of the importance of documentation and quality assurance in specialized pedagogical work. You have a holistic perspective on students' learning and development and the ability to translate analysis and specialized pedagogical expertise into practical development work. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate and document professionally. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Salary form: Monthly salary.
