Do you want to be part of developing Djäkneparksskolan's student support team? Who are we? Djäkneparksskolan is a six-parallel grades 7-9 school in the heart of Norrköping. We currently have 520 students and 55 staff members, and we maintain a pleasant, secure, and welcoming atmosphere where students and staff thrive together. The school is organized into three grade-level work teams that collaborate closely around students in daily classroom activities. We are a profile school with specializations including dance, crafts, visual arts, programming, ball sports, and cooking, featuring a language and knowledge development approach with a focus on student safety and individual student-centered learning. The school is characterized by a positive and engaged staff, and our student support team consists of professional staff with high expertise and is crucial for the school's overall goal achievement. Teachers at the school are largely certified in their subject areas. Your responsibilities You will be part of the school's student support team and work closely with the school's other special education teachers. In your role, you will support teaching staff with pedagogical questions and work preventatively by analyzing student difficulties at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You will assess barriers and opportunities in the school environment and identify students' needs for special support. You will also conduct pedagogical assessments and develop support programs for students who need additional help. An important responsibility is also to offer students support at both group and individual levels. Who are you? We are looking for someone with teaching certification and a degree in special education. You have experience teaching and working with students in upper grades and experience working as a special education teacher or special education specialist. You have good knowledge of elementary school laws and regulations and strong skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. As a person, we see that you are flexible and easily adapt and individualize your planning and work methods based on student needs. You have good organizational skills and can independently prioritize your tasks according to need and importance. You are a positive and engaged person who is clear and attentive, and you easily build positive relationships with others.
