Your Role with Us As a special education teacher, you work with specialized knowledge in reading, writing, and language development or mathematical development with focus on the individual level. You use special education methods to plan, prepare, and conduct instruction and support the student based on their specific difficulty. You carry out and document assessments, investigations, and various forms of pedagogical tests aimed at leading to increased understanding of the student's difficulties in schoolwork. As a special education teacher, you also contribute your expertise in the work with pedagogical investigations, adaptations, and intervention plans. You work to remove obstacles and difficulties in the learning environment, develop alternative learning environments and learning tools. Questions regarding inclusion and values form a natural part of your daily work. Your role includes creating relationships both internally and externally characterized by mutual respect and trust, and you meet students where they are. You are a qualified conversation partner in matters regarding children's and students' language or mathematical development in team work as well as in student wellness teams. You meet students with high expectations and engage, inspire, and stimulate them toward learning and personal responsibility. You lead and organize the work so that a safe learning environment is created based on mutual respect and collaboration. You reflect on and evaluate the practical work systematically, both individually and together with others. Your tasks also include planning, prioritizing, and taking responsibility for your own time and development. Who Are We Looking For? You hold teacher certification with qualification to teach as a special education teacher regarding special support in grades 4-6 in primary school with focus on language, writing, and reading development or mathematical development. You hold teacher certification with qualification to teach one of the subjects Swedish or mathematics and at least one additional subject in grades 4-6 in primary school. The position requires that you have experience from 3 years of well-documented work with instruction within the school system and experience teaching in grades 4-6 in primary school. You are skilled at implementing the organization's mission regarding students in need of special support. The ability to adapt work methods and approaches to different groups' and individuals' circumstances is required in this role. Of course, you are well acquainted with current pedagogical and didactic research and can apply your specialized knowledge of reading or mathematical development in daily practice. We want you to have good knowledge of and ability to work based on current curriculum documents but also good knowledge regarding alternative learning tools. You can exercise situationally adapted learning and leadership based on understanding students' situations and values and meeting them where they are. You create relationships both internally and externally characterized by respect and trust, and can engage, inspire, stimulate, and strengthen students toward learning and personal responsibility.
