What We Do and Want Hanvikens School is an F-6 school with approximately 420 students and 50 staff members. The school is beautifully situated in a residential area with green spaces as our closest neighbors. The surrounding area is used as a resource and natural part of our teaching, both during school and after-school hours. About the Position In your role as a special education teacher here at Hanvikens School, you are a member of the student support team together with another special education teacher, social worker, school nurse, school psychologist, assistant principal, and principal. The student support team meets every week. Within student support, we have close collaboration between our different professions and staff members on the unit and in the municipality. Within the municipality, there are also good opportunities to utilize central student support services and their functions for, for example, mentoring and external observations, etc. As a special education teacher, you work from a holistic perspective while demonstrating good understanding of student learning and development. This is a permanent position starting in January 2027. The position can be assumed earlier if there is interest and opportunity. Who Are You? We are now looking for you, a knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated special education teacher who wants to work with our students from preschool class through and including grade 6. You are courageous, flexible, and driven while always keeping the student's best interests in focus. You have experience in creating and following up on educational assessments (investigation of a student's need for special support) as well as intervention plans. We are looking for someone who wants to be an active part of ensuring all students receive the right support at the right time. You have great commitment to student learning and a strong desire to constantly develop our teaching and interventions together with colleagues. As a person, you are confident, solution-oriented, and constantly curious about finding ways forward when students encounter learning obstacles. We would like to see that you have strong knowledge in Swedish and mathematics, with particular interest in students' early reading, writing, and math development. You enjoy teaching and see opportunities to create creative, clear, and accessible learning environments. You are organized and responsible, while having the ability to work independently and make decisions based on students' needs. You have an ease in building good relationships and enjoy working closely with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have previous experience planning and implementing support interventions based on analysis, at both individual and group levels. You know how to adapt teaching based on students' different needs and circumstances. You have an interest in digital tools and resources and an understanding of how these can be used to strengthen student learning, participation, and independence. You have the ability to deliver quality teaching based on analysis in collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues. Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
