We want to offer you development opportunities and employment terms so you want to stay and develop with us. As an employee with us, you have access to various benefits including health, wellness, and leave. We are approximately 350 colleagues within the children and education administration working in four school areas with children and students ages 1-16 years. We work to ensure all children and young people have a good learning environment where they feel safe and are given the opportunity to achieve good results. Welcome to one of our four school areas: Lärcenter, Skived, Ullerud, and Grossbol. Description Do you want to help create the best conditions for student learning, development, and confidence in the future? We are now seeking an engaged special education teacher who wants to contribute to a safe, inclusive, and developmental school environment in our adapted primary school. Responsibilities As a special education teacher, you will be part of a team working with students who need adaptations and special support. The number of students and grade levels varies based on current needs. You will work to create an inclusive and safe learning environment where students are given the conditions to develop as far as possible. Students should, to the extent possible and based on individual needs, participate in instruction in regular classes, which occurs in close collaboration with teaching staff and other colleagues. In this role, you will: Plan, implement, and adapt instruction based on students' individual needs. Create a safe, inclusive, and developmental learning environment. Strengthen students' independence, participation, and confidence in their own abilities. Collaborate with teachers and other colleagues to give students the best possible conditions to develop. As a special education teacher, you are also a support for colleagues through mentoring and collaboration. You actively participate in developing instruction and operations, conduct assessments together with other staff, and collaborate with guardians and external agencies. In this role, you also contribute to the school's continued development work and collaborative learning. Qualifications We are looking for you who are trained as a special education teacher with specialization in intellectual disabilities and who have experience working in adapted primary school. You are confident in your professional role and have an inclusive and solution-focused approach. You see possibilities rather than obstacles and have the ability to adapt instruction, support, and interaction based on each student's needs. You combine independence with strong collaboration skills and actively contribute to a positive and developmental work environment. We value that you: Have good ability to create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Work solution-focused with the student's best interests at the center. Are well-versed in the school's governing documents. Have the ability to mentor and inspire colleagues in special education matters. See collaboration and collaborative learning as a natural part of the school's development. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Terms Permanent employment 100%. We may apply a probationary period for new hires. We work with continuous selection and interviews, which means the recruitment process may begin before the application deadline has expired. If you are offered employment in preschool, school, or youth and leisure activities, you are according to school law required to present an extract from the criminal records register. You order the extract yourself via the Police Authority's website. Welcome with your application! We want you to send your application via our recruitment tool on our website. Information about how we handle your personal data can be found here. If for some reason you cannot apply that way (for example, protected identity), please contact the person listed in the ad for an alternative application method. We decline calls from staffing and recruitment companies as well as job ad vendors.
