About Us
The Department of Children and Education's operations span the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school grades F-9, upper secondary school, adapted primary and secondary school, after-school centers, central administration, facility management, and mother tongue instruction. Solna has ten municipal primary schools and one municipal adapted primary school, each led by a principal and their assistant principal.
Parkskolan is a small primary school for students from preschool class through grade 3. The school is located in a green oasis in Hagalund, close to Solna Center and public transportation. Here, dedicated and knowledgeable teachers and after-school staff support and challenge students in their learning. We organize many different community-building activities to ensure all students feel secure and included at school and in the after-school center. Classroom work is characterized by a focused learning environment with an emphasis on learning and knowledge.

What Does the Work Involve?
We're looking for a dedicated and motivated special education teacher for Parkskolan. With us, you play a central role in strengthening students' ability to reach their full potential through support measures, pedagogical guidance, and development of inclusive learning environments. The role will also include developing the school's studio activities.
As a special education teacher, it's important to be clear and communicate well so that both students and colleagues feel included and informed. Your quality awareness will set high standards for teaching and create a positive learning environment.
We work in grade-level teams and use differentiated instruction. The teams design and develop activities to provide a strong foundation for student development. School development in Solna includes language development approaches, core values, and creating an accessible learning environment.
Who Are We Looking For?
We're looking for someone who
has teaching certification and is trained as a special education teacher
has experience teaching students with special needs
is well versed in all aspects of the curriculum and other relevant governing documents
is highly proficient with digital tools, which you use creatively in teaching and for your own planning, follow-up, and documentation
has strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
You are familiar with and uphold the professional ethical principles for teachers and have the ability to advocate for democratic values while recognizing that all students are equally worthy.
We're looking for someone who is dedicated and takes initiative, sees possibilities, and takes responsibility for developing the operation. Through your strong collaboration skills, you build positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and actively contribute to an open and inclusive work environment. You have natural leadership and, through a responsive and professional approach, inspire students toward participation and learning.
