Myggenäs School serves approximately 200 students from preschool through grade 5. The school is situated in a scenic area surrounded by forest and sea. The school has an after-school program with three units. We are a small school with highly competent teachers who have worked here for many years. The school is characterized by a team spirit where we support and develop one another. We believe all children belong to all of us, and we view the child's entire day as equally important in lifelong learning. Our goal in the Children and Education Department is to create a sustainable future through safe and meaningful education with trust in the individual. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We strengthen our efforts to help more students reach their goals. You work with students in need of special support on both an individual and group basis, plan and follow up on interventions, write assessments and action plans, and mentor colleagues. You play an important role in the student support team, development group, and work team at our school. The position also includes collaboration with guardians and various authorities. As a special education teacher, you plan, implement, and follow up on instruction, create structure and a conducive learning environment. You work closely with colleagues and school leadership, share responsibility for all students, and contribute to a positive school climate. It is advantageous if you have special education teacher certification or in-depth knowledge of early literacy, writing, and mathematics development. In collaboration with school leadership and colleagues, you share responsibility for all students, the school's development, and work to create a positive atmosphere. QUALIFICATIONS If this sounds like you, you might be the person we're looking for. You: • Have a special education teacher degree or other education and experience that the employer deems relevant for the position. • Have a teaching degree with teacher certification for grade levels 13, F-6, or 4-6. • Are well familiar with the school's mission and governing documents. • Are attentive and responsive to each student's needs and circumstances. • Are driven by a desire to see opportunities for improvement in the school, for students, and for yourself. • Are collaborative, able to build relationships, and clear in communication with students, guardians, and colleagues. • Are positive, proactive, and solution-oriented. • Have the ability to inspire and engage. • Are responsible and organized. • Have good digital skills (Unikum, Prorenata, Teams, and Microsoft Office, among others).
