Källtorpskolan is a primary school with approximately 400 students in Kallhäll, close to the station and Kallhäll city center. Our adapted primary school features newly built excellent facilities and began operations in Fall 2024. We currently have 33 students, are growing continuously, and have capacity for 40 students when fully enrolled. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a special education teacher specializing in intellectual disabilities or special education teacher/special pedagogist, you will be a mentor for a class of approximately ten students at Källtorpskolan's adapted primary school. The work team includes several student assistants who, together with you, create the best conditions for student learning, development, and participation. At Källtorpskolan's adapted primary school, you will have several teacher colleagues with appropriate qualifications and will work closely with them. In your role as mentor, you are responsible for: - Planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized and group-adapted instruction based on students' abilities, needs, and goals. - Developing, adapting, and implementing pedagogical strategies, methods, and learning environments that promote learning, independence, and participation. - Guiding and collaborating with student assistants to ensure coordinated and quality pedagogical support where assistants function as supportive aids for the student. - Working closely with teachers, special education teachers, student welfare teams, and external professionals to create a holistic perspective on student learning, development, and well-being. - Building and maintaining trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. - Responsibility for pedagogical assessment, documentation, and follow-up, including investigations regarding special support. - Analyzing collected information, identifying areas for development, and designing action plans that support student continued development and goal achievement. - Actively participate in the school's development efforts and contribute to strengthening quality in pedagogical activities. QUALIFICATIONS - Develop and follow action plans and IUPs for students, and guide teachers and student assistants regarding student development. - Follow school procedures and actively participate in activities with a professional approach. - Can build and maintain secure relationships with students and colleagues. - Are active in professional contexts such as meetings and pedagogical discussions. - Communicate clearly. Ensure that messages are conveyed and expectations are clear to all parties involved. - Have a low-affect approach when managing challenging behaviors, maintaining this approach throughout all activities.
