The Education Administration is responsible for all children's, youth's and adults' education in Eda Municipality. The Education Administration is responsible for all school/activity forms from preschool, elementary school, cultural school to secondary and adult education in Eda Municipality. The Education Administration operates on behalf of the Education Committee based on our 10 mutual expectations about how we are expected to act, be perceived and conduct ourselves in daily meetings and dialogue between employees, children, students and guardians. WORK DUTIES Adapted Elementary School, Gunnarsbyskolan Do you want to be part of creating the best conditions for students with intellectual disabilities to develop, learn and succeed based on their individual circumstances? We are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference for students in adapted elementary school by creating accessible, inclusive and developmental learning environments. As a Special Education Teacher with specialization in intellectual disabilities, you have a key role in supporting students' knowledge development, independence and participation in the school's social and educational contexts. As a Special Education Teacher with specialization in intellectual disabilities, you work to create the best possible conditions for students' learning, development and participation based on their individual needs and circumstances. The assignment involves using a scientific and special education approach to identify, analyze and remove obstacles in the school environment and develop instruction and learning environments that promote students' development toward the goals of education. You are responsible for planning, implementing and following up on instruction for students admitted to adapted elementary school. You work with individually adapted approaches and support structures that strengthen students' communication, knowledge development, independence and opportunities for active participation in the school's activities. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • holds teaching certification with qualification for the relevant school form • has a special education teacher degree with specialization in intellectual disabilities • alternatively is completing education in the special education teacher program with this specialization • has experience teaching and working with children and students in need of special support • has good knowledge of the governing documents for adapted elementary school • has the ability to independently conduct pedagogical analyses, assessments and evaluations • has good knowledge of accessible learning environments, special education approaches and adapted instruction • has good ability to document, follow up and evaluate support measures • expresses yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing Competence Profile To succeed in this assignment, you have a strong commitment to students' development and an inclusive perspective where each student's strengths and possibilities are at the center.
