The Education Department is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school programs, upper secondary school, and adult education.
Regnbågens skola is one of our adapted primary schools and is centrally located in Märsta. The school is housed in a newly built and modern facility and offers both teaching and after-school activities in a safe, stimulating, and developmental environment.
The operation serves approximately 105 students and around 90 dedicated staff members. The close-knit organization creates excellent conditions for collaboration, continuity, and individualized support based on each student's needs and circumstances.
Regnbågens skola works closely with Munkeboskolan, and both operations share a common principal. Together, we work to create equitable, safe, and developmental education for our students.
Our goal is to prepare students for a meaningful, independent, and active adult life. Through safety, knowledge, and participation, we create opportunities for each student to develop and grow according to their own circumstances and at their own pace.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a clear, structured, creative, and engaged special education teacher who wants to make a difference. In this role, you lead and inspire students in their learning and development in close collaboration with colleagues and teaching assistants. You see challenges as opportunities and always keep the student's best interest in focus.
Job responsibilities include:
• Lead and inspire students in their learning in close collaboration with colleagues and teaching assistants.
• Supervise approximately eight teaching assistants and participate in their daily work.
• Plan, implement, and follow up on instruction in various subjects and subject areas.
• Propose and implement pedagogical adaptations and interventions for students in need of special support.
• Participate in developing and implementing action plans and document and monitor student development in Unikum.
• Collaborate with student health services and other professionals regarding student learning, development, and support needs.
You have experience working with students with extensive and varied support needs, such as students who use wheelchairs or other assistive devices in their daily lives.
You have an understanding of how the physical environment and instruction can be adapted based on students' individual needs and circumstances.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified special education teacher with a specialized degree in intellectual disability (ID).
Experience working in adapted primary schools is a merit.
Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities and neuropsychiatric disabilities.
Experience working with students with extensive support needs, such as students who use wheelchairs or other assistive devices.
