Your responsibilities As a special education teacher in mathematics at De Geergymnasiet, you play a central role in creating conditions for all students to succeed in their learning. You're part of our special education team and work closely with students, teachers, and student support to develop accessible learning environments and strengthen students' mathematical development. An important part of the role is to identify and analyze students' support needs and plan, implement, and follow up on interventions that contribute to improved goal achievement. You serve as the school's expert on assistive digital learning tools and accessible teaching materials. You teach students both individually and in groups, while also providing support to mathematics teachers on special education matters. Through mentoring and collaborative learning, you contribute to developing instruction and creating inclusive approaches that benefit all students. The role also includes collaborating with the school's student support team and, when relevant, with guardians. Documentation, follow-up, and evaluation of support measures are a natural part of the work. Who are you? We're looking for someone who is a certified teacher with qualifications to teach mathematics and who holds a special education teacher diploma. You have experience with special education assignments at the upper secondary or middle school level, and you have a strong interest in student learning and a good ability to analyze which factors affect students' mathematical knowledge development. As a person, you are relationship-focused, attentive, and collaboration-oriented. You enjoy working with students, colleagues, and guardians and see collaboration as an important success factor. You work in a structured manner, are solution-focused, and have the ability to translate analysis into concrete measures that make a difference in students' daily lives.
