About the School
Sandbyhovsskolan is a school that opened in the fall of 2019. In 2021, the school had all three grade levels 7-9 for the first time and now has just over 290 students in total. The school is located in a residential area in Sandbyhov with proximity to tram lines, buses, and green spaces. Next to the school is a newly built arts building where students take practical-aesthetic subjects: art, music, home economics, technology, textile, wood, and metalwork. Adjacent to the school is also a fine sports hall and youth center.
Your Responsibilities
Sandbyhovsskolan is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Mathematics for students in grades 7–9. This position is ideal if you want to work closely with students, teachers, student support services, and guardians to identify needs and create appropriate support measures. As a special education teacher in mathematics, you will support students' learning development and create conditions for more students to achieve the educational goals. The role includes pedagogical assessments, intervention programs, and meetings with guardians.
As this is a lead teacher position, you will be part of the school's development group and drive development work. You will also participate in the municipality's lead teacher network. You are part of the school's student support team and collaborate with teachers, school leadership, other student support functions, guardians, and external partners. The position is full-time with a start date by agreement.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a special education teaching degree specializing in mathematics. At least four years of teaching experience after completing a teaching degree is required to hold the lead teacher role. We also see that you have previously worked with pedagogical assessments, intervention programs, student support work, and have experience leading development initiatives. You have the ability to identify and analyze student needs as well as to document, implement, and follow up on support measures.
You enjoy collaborating with teaching staff, student support services, school leadership, guardians, and external partners. Furthermore, you need experience leading development work. You create trusting and professional relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
