IES Eskilstuna is one of the largest schools in Sweden with 1,185 students enrolled in grades F-9 and approx 125 staff members. IES Eskilstuna is now seeking two committed special education teachers in grades 4-9 who want to work closely with both students and colleagues to strengthen student learning and contribute to an accessible and inclusive learning environment. About the Role As a special education teacher, you will support students in need of special assistance, both individually and in small groups. You will assess student needs, plan and implement targeted teaching interventions, and monitor student progress. The role includes establishing and monitoring intervention plans, managing documentation related to student support measures, and working in the Prorenata documentation system. Your role also includes supporting colleagues with questions regarding accommodations, learning environments, and teaching strategies. You will contribute your expertise to collaborative work around students in need of support and participate in the school's efforts to develop teaching so it becomes accessible to more students.
