Description Bodaskolan is a single-stream preschool through grade 6 school in central Skutskär with approximately 105 students. For several years, we have been working to develop accessible learning environments, with a focus on the social learning environment. We are now seeking a special education teacher for the school's studio; a smaller setting for students who need extra support to participate in their education and reach their goals. The school has a high proportion of qualified special education teachers specializing in intellectual disabilities. You will have close collaboration with them as well as with other colleagues with different competencies and experiences. Responsibilities Your main task is to teach and support students in the studio. The instruction may cover various subjects at the school, and part of the work also takes place in students' regular classrooms. Instruction planning occurs both independently and together with other teachers and special education teachers. The assignment may also include pedagogical assessments and work with intervention plans, as well as supporting colleagues in adaptation work. Collaboration is an important part of the work, and you contribute your competence, take advantage of others' perspectives, and see the value of working together to create a complete picture around the student. The role also includes participation in the school's student wellness team and special education forum. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher, holds a special education teacher certificate, and ideally also has experience working with students with neurodevelopmental disorders. It is also an advantage if you have worked with adaptations and intervention plans. As a special education teacher, you need to be able to create good relationships and be responsive to what works for the individual student. You are flexible in your work approach and have the ability to find new solutions when there is a need for different paths than the usual ones. Does this sound like a role for you?
