Would you like to use your specialist competence to make a difference both for individuals with cognitive illness and for colleagues who meet them in everyday life? Then the role as a specialist nurse at Höjden could be your next step.
YOUR ROLE
As a specialist nurse, you will be an important part of our team. Approximately half of your working time is devoted to tasks that are central to your role. The exact scope may vary over time based on operational needs. You work weekends and evenings, but to a lesser extent than other nursing assistants.
In your role, you provide support to individuals in the areas of cognitive decline, psychiatry, and palliative care. You introduce, mentor, and train colleagues in these areas. You drive quality improvement work, are responsible for the BPSD registry, and serve as a contact representative in palliative care. Additionally, you contribute to developing and inspiring activities that make daily life safe and meaningful for the individuals.
As a specialist nurse, you are also part of a network where you share experiences, create opportunities for new knowledge, and inspire each other to stay updated. Together with your colleague, you also help develop and shape the mission at Höjden, with the opportunity to influence work methods and contribute to the facility's continued development. Therefore, we believe you are a driven, present, and engaged person who thrives in a role where you can take responsibility and contribute to development.
YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE
We are looking for you who are trained as a specialist nurse, preferably with a focus on elderly care or cognitive illnesses, but palliative care or psychiatry can also be relevant for the position. If you also have experience working with individuals with dementia, cognitive decline, and BPSD, we see that as an added strength.
To thrive in the role, we believe you are a stable and empathetic person who collaborates unpretentiously with others. You plan and structure your work well and remain calm even when the pace is high or conditions change. You see opportunities, find new solutions, and enjoy contributing ideas that can develop work methods and operations. Inspiring and supporting colleagues comes naturally to you – and you like to stay updated in your field.
You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as sufficient physical capacity to manage the practical parts of the work. Knowledge of Finnish or Sami is a merit.
The position is subject to the requirement for criminal record certificate according to law. Before a possible employment offer, you must present an extract from the criminal record for work with elderly persons or persons with disabilities. You are responsible for ordering the correct extract from the Police Authority.
